Online giving that goes straight to your church.
Members give from the app in seconds, guests give from a public page, and the money settles into your church’s own Stripe account. Churchory never holds your funds, never sees a card number, and takes nothing from a gift.
Why do churches end up with a separate giving company?
Usually because giving was the first thing they needed online. The cost shows up later: a separate login, a percentage on every gift, and a donor list that never quite matches the directory.
A percentage on top
Many giving platforms add their own fee to every gift, on top of what the card network charges.
Names that don’t match
“J. Smith” in the giving tool and “Jonathan Smith” in the directory are two different people to every report you run.
The January scramble
Online gifts in one place, cash and checks in a spreadsheet, and year-end statements stitched together by hand.
How does online giving work in Churchory?
Giving lives in the app your church already opens
Members give from Churchory Mobile or the web app, signed in with the same account they use for their group and their serving schedule. Guests who aren’t in your directory yet can give once from your church’s public give page.
- One-time or monthly gifts, from $1 to $25,000
- Givers choose the fund: general, missions, building
- Members see their own giving history and can stop a monthly gift themselves
The money goes to you, not through us
Giving runs on Stripe Connect. Your church connects its own Stripe account and is the merchant of record; funds settle to your bank on Stripe’s normal payout schedule. Card numbers are entered into Stripe’s own payment fields and never touch our servers or our database.
- Your church’s own Stripe account: your bank, your payouts
- Card data handled entirely by Stripe, a PCI DSS Level 1 provider
- Churchory takes no percentage; givers can choose to cover the card fee
- The same Stripe account powers paid event registration
Records your treasurer will actually use
Online gifts land in the same record as the gifts you enter by hand or import from a spreadsheet, tied to real people in your directory, the same person record as their small group and their kids. Year-end statements for every giver take a click.
- Every gift in one place: online, cash and check
- Giving trends by month and fund
- Giving privacy: limit giving records to the people you name, even other admins
What else comes with Giving?
Where does Giving connect?
Every Churchory product shares one directory and one permission system.
Churchory Giving takes online gifts through your church's own Stripe account and keeps every gift (online, cash and check) in one place for trends and year-end statements. Gifts can be one-time or monthly, from $1 to $25,000, to up to 20 funds, and givers can cover the processing fee. It's $99 a year (or $25 a month) on its own, or part of Churchory One; Churchory takes no percentage.
What problem does Giving solve?
Many churches pay a giving platform a percentage on top of card fees, keep cash and check gifts in a separate spreadsheet, and spend January assembling year-end statements by hand. Givers can't see their own history, and the treasurer reconciles three systems.
How does it work?
Connect Stripe
Connect your church's own Stripe account; your church is the merchant of record and funds settle to your bank on Stripe's schedule.
Set up funds
Create up to 20 funds (general, missions, building) that givers choose from.
Share the give page
Members give one-time or monthly from the app or web; guests can give one-time from a public give page. Givers can choose to cover the processing fee.
Record everything else
Enter cash and check gifts by hand or import them from a spreadsheet, alongside online gifts.
Send statements
Generate year-end statements for every giver in a click, and watch giving trends by month and fund.
Common situations
A visitor wants to give on their first Sunday
They use the public give page for a one-time gift. No account needed.
A member wants to set up a monthly gift
They start it from their account, where they can see and stop it themselves.
The Sunday offering is counted
Enter the cash and checks so the totals and statements include them.
It's January
Generate statements for every giver at once instead of building them by hand.
What should you expect during setup?
If you already have a Stripe account, connecting takes minutes; otherwise Stripe's onboarding asks for your church's banking and tax details. Import past gifts from a spreadsheet so this year's statements are complete, and switch online giving over at a clean month boundary.
Who uses it?
More questions
Does Churchory take a percentage of gifts?
No. Stripe's standard processing fees apply, and Churchory takes nothing on top.
Who holds the money?
Your church's own Stripe account. Funds settle to your bank, and card numbers never reach a Churchory server.
Can givers cover the fee?
Yes, givers can choose to cover the processing fee.
Can guests give without an account?
Yes, one-time gifts from the public give page. Monthly gifts need an account so the giver can manage them.
Can we import our giving history?
Yes, from a spreadsheet or your current provider's export. The free migration itself doesn't move giving ledgers.
Can we bring our giving history?
Yes, you can import past gifts into Giving from a spreadsheet or your current giving provider's export, so year-end statements cover the whole year. The free migration itself doesn't move giving ledgers (those stay with your old giving provider as the record), so bring a sample export and we'll tell you honestly what will come across.
Can we take payments for retreats and events?
Yes. Paid registration runs through your church's own Stripe account, with per-ticket-type capacity, discount codes, deposits and an optional registration waiver, and the money settles straight to your church. Stripe's standard processing fees apply; Churchory doesn't add a percentage.
Does Churchory do online giving?
Yes. Giving takes online gifts through your church's own Stripe account (one-time or monthly, from $1 to $25,000 per gift, to up to 20 funds), with an option for givers to cover the processing fee, and it produces year-end statements for every giver. Guests can give one-time from a public give page; monthly giving needs an account so the giver can see and stop it.
