Why do churches look for Tithe.ly alternatives?
Tithe.ly is a strong giving platform that has grown into a full church bundle, and most churches looking around are deciding whether the bundle fits them. Common reasons:
- They only want part of the bundle. All-Access covers everything, with church management, the app and a website also sold as separate plans (Tithe.ly pricing, verified as of 2026-10-06).
- The product lineup is changing. Tithe.ly now combines its own church management with Breeze as Tithely Church Management (Tithe.ly).
- They want different features for members, such as group chat, congregational voting or meal trains.
If Tithe.ly is working well for you, staying put is a perfectly good choice.
What should you look for in a Tithe.ly alternative?
Start with giving, because it's the hardest thing to move, then look at everything else:
- Who holds the money? Look for giving that settles to your own bank account, through a processor in your church's name.
- What are the fees? Compare per-gift processing fees, and whether donors can cover them.
- Can you buy only what you need? A church that just wants groups and check-in shouldn't pay for a website.
- Is there an app members will open? Ideally with chat, groups and announcements, and your church's name on it.
- What happens to past giving records? Plan where last year's statements will come from.
Where does Churchory fit?
Churchory is church management software for small and mid-size churches. Start free with Core (your people directory, families, roles and church-wide email and push), then add only the products you need, like groups, events, Sunday serving and check-in, kids, care, chat and voting, or get everything with Churchory One.
Each Churchory product is $99 a year (a $201 saving on paying monthly) or $25 a month. Churchory One (every product, every future product and your church's own branded app) is $599 a year, saving $949, or $129 a month. No contracts, cancel any month, prices in USD, and no people-count tiers. Giving runs through your church's own Stripe account (gifts from $1 to $25,000, funds, recurring giving, cover-the-fee and year-end statements), so funds settle to your bank on Stripe's schedule and Churchory never holds them. You can also leave giving with Tithe.ly and use Churchory for groups, Sunday, kids check-in and chat.
Moving is free: our team migrates from Tithe.ly ChMS and Elvanto, Breeze and others. Giving ledgers stay with your giving provider. See Churchory vs Tithe.ly for a side-by-side table and switching to Churchory for the steps.
Where Churchory falls short: texting and church websites are still in beta, and there's no fund accounting. If those matter most this year, a bundle that already includes them may serve you better, and you can always revisit later.
What does Churchory replace for a church?
Churchory replaces the four to six separate tools many churches juggle (a directory, groups, events and registration, kids check-in, chat, newsletters, giving and a church app) with one platform and one directory, so nobody enters the same family twice. Fewer tools means fewer subscriptions, fewer logins and fewer admin hours spent keeping lists in sync.
- Core is free forever: the people directory, families, roles and permissions, church-wide email and push, and the Churchory web, mobile and Mac apps.
- No platform fee on giving: Churchory takes no percentage of gifts. Gifts run through your church's own Stripe account, so only Stripe's processing fees apply.
- Free, staff-run migration: our team moves your people, groups and attendance history for you.
- Your own branded app in the App Store and Google Play with Churchory One.
- Support from the people who build it: a husband-and-wife team, not a ticket queue.
- Pricing that fits a budget line: $99 a year per product, or $599 a year for everything with Churchory One. Churchory One is the better deal from the seventh product on yearly billing.
If you pay for a separate check-in tool, chat app and newsletter tool today, add up what those cost and compare it with $99 a year per product or $599 a year for everything.
How do I move online giving without confusing donors?
Move giving slowly and tell people what's happening; the software is the easy part. A gentle plan for any switch:
- Set up the new giving first and test it with a few staff gifts before you announce it.
- Announce it more than once (from the front, in the bulletin and by email) with the new link and a short reason for the change.
- Ask recurring givers to set up their gift again. When you change giving systems, recurring gifts usually have to be recreated by each giver, so give them a simple link and a date.
- Leave the old giving page up for a season so nobody's gift is turned away, then close it once gifts have moved.
- Plan year-end statements. In the year you switch, givers may get one statement from each system.

How do you move from Tithe.ly to Churchory?
Free staff-run migration lists "Tithe.ly ChMS / Elvanto" as a source: people and households, groups and leaders, upcoming events, serving teams, documents and up to two years of attendance history (giving ledgers stay with your giving provider). Self-serve: people CSV import; history import with the Breeze preset for Tithely Church Management (Breeze) exports, or the generic spreadsheet preset otherwise.

Questions about Tithe.ly alternatives
What is the best alternative to Tithe.ly All-Access?
It depends on which parts of the bundle you use. Churchory One includes church management, kids check-in, worship planning and your own branded app; ChurchTrac includes fund accounting and a website in every plan.
Can I switch church management but keep Tithe.ly giving?
Yes. Churchory sells each product separately at $99 a year or $25 a month, so you can keep giving with Tithe.ly and use Churchory for people, groups, Sunday and kids.
Will my giving history move with me?
Giving ledgers stay with your current provider in Churchory's free migration, so past statements still come from there. New gifts run through your church's own Stripe account once you turn on Churchory Giving.
Is there a Tithe.ly alternative with no setup fee?
Yes. Churchory has no setup fee, a 45-day free trial with no card, and free staff-run migration.
Which systems can you migrate from?
We migrate churches from Planning Center, Breeze, Church Community Builder, Tithe.ly ChMS / Elvanto, Realm / ACS, Servant Keeper, ChurchTrac, and spreadsheets in Excel or Google Sheets. If you use something else, choose "Something else" on the request form and send an export. Every church database can produce a spreadsheet.
Can we keep our old system running while we switch?
Yes, and most churches do for about a month. Nothing is deleted from your current system by moving. You export a copy, we import it, and the old tool stays as it is until you cancel it.
