We’ve spent our lives in technology, and in church.
Churchory is made by a husband-and-wife tech team. Not a platform company with a church vertical — people who write the code during the week and help set up the sanctuary on Sunday.
Why this exists
Every church we know runs on four or five different pieces of software, none of which were built to talk to each other, and one very patient administrator who knows which one to trust. The directory says one thing, the giving platform says another, the check-in system has its own list of children, and the actual conversation is happening in eleven separate group texts.
None of that is anyone’s fault. It’s what happens when a church buys the right tool for each problem over fifteen years. But the cost of it lands on the smallest teams — the churches with one staff member and a lot of volunteers, who can least afford to spend their week reconciling systems.
So we built the thing we kept wishing existed: one app, every part of church life in it, one price, and no feature tier waiting to be sold to you later.
How we work
We ship constantly. When a church asks “could it do this?”, that conversation goes straight to the people who write the code — and a meaningful share of what’s in Churchory today started as a question from a pastor who assumed the answer would be no.
You’ll never be handed to an account manager. Ask a question and you’re talking to the people who built the thing you’re asking about, which is why answers tend to arrive the same day — and sometimes arrive as a shipped change.
Who we are
We’re lifelong technologists. Between us we’ve spent more than twenty years building software at some of the largest technology companies in the world — the kind of place where a release reaches millions of people and there is no margin for sloppiness. That’s the standard we hold Churchory to.
We’re also the people using it. We lead small groups. We serve on the A/V team. We’re in the men’s and women’s ministries. We’ve been in church our whole lives, which means we’ve been on the receiving end of every tool on this list too — squinting at a check-in tablet, chasing an RSVP through a group text, retyping the same family into a third system.
Churchory exists in the gap between those two things: what church software could be if someone crafted it properly, and what churches are actually asked to pay for it. Those costs keep climbing, and they land hardest on the churches with the least room in the budget. We think the craft we spent two decades learning belongs here — at a price a church can plan around.
